Rose Steele - ASTC
Rose's theatrical background includes directing, stage management, stage
carpentry, and administration from Michigan to Florida to California, working
in colleges, regional theatres, and small and large community groups. She
maintains her ties with the working theatre community by volunteering with a
small local theatre and taking occasional work calls from the local stagehand's
union (IATSE Local 134.) Ms. Steele joined Landry & Bogan in 1987 and has
put her experience to work in programming and project planning, using methods
developed by Paul Landry over the last 35 years of theatre design. She is now the firm's specialist in this area, leading workshops for City planners, University personnel and user groups to discover the true needs of the users and translate them into a detailed building program. She also provides general consulting on space designs and equipment layouts; make-up and dressing rooms and production shops, ADA compliance, and develops specifications and bid packages for portable theatrical equipment.
