Kent Conrad - Associate
Kent brings a wide range of theatrical experience to Landry & Bogan. He has been a theatre consultant for many theatres and has a long career in professional regional theatre, theme parks and educational theatre. Besides his consulting work he has worked as production manager, production stage manager, lighting designer and scenic designer. His theatre work includes seasons at the Arizona Theatre Company, Denver Center Theatre Company, Old Globe Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Intiman Theatre, Pioneer Theatre and American Theatre Company in Aspen. He was production manager for the UCLA department of Theatre, Film and TV. For Walt Disney Entertainment he was technical director for two new venues at Tokyo DisneySea theme park and acted as theatre consultant as well.
Recent theatre consulting projects include Webb School , Westminster Rose Center, Harvard Westlake School, the renovation of Old Napa High School, Mesa Arts Center and project studies for Walt Disney Imagineering with a previous consulting firm. Kent has collaborated on the design of a variety of other theatres including the Temple of Music and Art, and the Tohono Chul Amphitheatre in Tucson, Arizona; the Ginger Rogers / Craterian Theatre in Medford, Oregon; and the Snowmass Festival Theatre in Colorado.
Kent is a project manager for Landry & Bogan. He works closely with the design team to develop theatrical systems that accomplish the end user’s artistic objectives that incorporate practical solutions. In addition to overall project coordination he designs rigging, stage lifts, theatrical lighting, acoustical drapes and seating systems. He handles project documentation and review during all phases of design and construction.
