Heather McAvoy - ASTC
Heather is a principal consultant with the firm and has been with Landry & Bogan
since 1986. Her theatrical production experience spans 30 years and includes stage
and production management, electrics, technical direction, scenic, costume, and
lighting design, and acting. She developed her specialization in lighting design at
NYU and has been a member of United Scenic Artists since 1986. She has designed
lighting for commercial, regional, civic and university theatre and dance as well
as rock and roll and gallery display. She volunteers as the co-director of an
after-school drama program in the local public schools.Heather assists architects in designing flexible and accessible stage and work lighting mounting positions and support spaces. She designs state-of-the-art stage, house and rehearsal lighting systems, from concept through construction documents, as well as guiding electrical engineers in the design of theatrical electrical systems. She also inspects and tests completed systems and uses her theatrical experience for general project consulting and project management.
